Big Tech Is Threatening America

I believe the manifold news stories and opinion pieces saying Big Tech, including Google, Facebook, Twitter and Amazon, would be foolish to violate their user's trust by purposely modifying their software to undermine conservatives and conservative viewpoints. I also believe it would be naive the think it is not happening. So what is the truth? Like always, somewhere in between. I believe the violations are insidious and will be difficult to detect, but they are happening and because they are, it is well past time to break-up the Big Tech giants and reestablish honesty. Because, as the founding fathers said, we need an informed electorate to keep America going.

BREAKING: 50 Attorneys General Join Investigation Into Google – 9 September 2019, Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton said that Google "dominates all aspects of advertising on the Internet and searching on the Internet," and that the investigation will initially start with Google's advertising business "but the facts will lead where the facts lead." Only California, Google's home state and Alabama? have not joined. With that much interest, I dare say, Google as it is known today, will not be around much longer.

Should We Regulate Big Tech? – November 2018, Economist makes an argument that it is time to do something about Big Tech anti-trust violations, but stops short of breaking up the big firms like they did with Ma Bell. Personally, I think the firms, Apple, Google, Facebook, Twitter, and Amazon, should be forced to disgourge and shaare publicly all the data they have collected.
